In May 2009, members of YMS and director Philip Moore travelled to Münster to sing Elgar’s The Dream of Gerontius with the Münster Philharmonischer Chor and the Kammerchor Rheine, in two concerts conducted by Martin Henning.
The concert pictured is in St Joseph Kirche; another performance was held in St Dionysius Kirche, Rheine.
Also shown here: Münster Cathedral and the Lambertikirche, where the choirs have sung together on previous visits. The first joint performance was of the Dvorák Requiem in the Cathedral in October 1993, and there have been visits for shared concerts every few years from then onwards.
