Our next concert.

Apart from our scheduled concerts the choir enjoys taking part in other musical events.

We visit Münster regularly, most recently in June 2018 to mark 50 years of the city twinning link, and hope to host the Philharmonischer Chor in York in 2022.

A highlight of the year is the annual workshop, when we tackle a work in a day, fortified by good company and a great deal of cake.

Each year, we hold an open rehearsal in summer in the Festival of Ideas run by the University of York, when residents and visitors to York join us in a rehearsal for our next concert, either as singers or spectators.

In July 2018 we sang at the Castle Howard Prom, performing with the London Gala Orchestra, and soloists Lesley Garrett and Geraint Dodd. We returned to Castle Howard the same year to sing carols at Christmas.

In 2019 and 2021 we were invited to sing carols at Fountains Abbey, and will do so again in December 2022.

We had another new experience in 2019, being one of the choirs which was digitally recorded to combine with 1000 other voices as the chorus in a new opera, The Fire of Prometheus, which toured the North of England.
