York Musical Society

Founded in 1765, York Musical Society (“YMS”) is the oldest Musical Society in England.

Welcome

Today, we are a choral society of approximately 160 members who enjoy performing a challenging repertoire including the more familiar large scale choral works such as Handel's Messiah, the Passions and various Requiems.

Concert Season 2011 / 2012

This season, we will be performing works by Haydn, Bach, Brahms, Bruckner, Parry and Handel.
