Would you like to join York Musical Society as a singing member?

We usually sing four concerts a year in York Minster under our conductor Robert Sharpe, who is Director of Music at York Minster. Rehearsals take place on Tuesday evenings from 7.30 - 9.30pm at Central Methodist Church in St Saviourgate, York (see map below).

If you are interested in joining the choir, you will need a moderate sight-reading ability, a commitment to attending rehearsals and a love of singing! There is a short audition for new members and an annual membership fee. We are particularly interested in recruiting basses, but have a waiting list for new alto members at the moment.
